Practice is available at the Ski Club for competent skiers and snowboarders. To use the ski slope without lessons, you must meet our minimum recreational standards i.e. you must have completed the course of four beginner classes at the Ski Club or done at least 1 week skiing on snow. Practice skiers must be able to control their speed, direction, turn, stop and use the ski lift.
Practice sessions (3 hours) are currently €25 for an adult and €18 for those under age 18.
ALL EQUIPMENT - FREE OF CHARGE! We provide skis/snowboards, boots and poles for practice sessions at NO extra cost.
Snowboarders are given a Rider’s Pass when they have been deemed competent enough to practise on their own (usually after the completion of the course of four beginner’s classes). If snowboarders have their own boots and board and a Rider’s pass they are permitted to practise during any practice time and are not restricted to just snowboard practice times. If a snowboarder has boarded on snow but have never been to Kilternan they must be assessed in order to receive a Rider’s Pass.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE A MEMBER to use our facilities but if you intend to ski/snowboard regularly there are considerable benefits as detailed on our Membership page.
Sometimes there will be slope restrictions due to racing, freestyle or events so it is advisable to check with us before you travel. Please call us on 01 295 5658.
