Racing is an important part of the Ski Club’s activities and is a great way to measure one’s technical abilities and degree of improvement.

There are two categories of racing.  The first we call recreational racing, catering for members who enjoy the challenge of skiing around poles and, as importantly, enjoy the fun and camaraderie which go hand in hand with skiing against their peers.

Then there are the racers and for more information about joining the Race Squad send a mail to or visit the club on Sunday mornings between 9am and 11am when race training is in progress.

Bláthnaid from Two Tube came to visit us at the Ski Club of Ireland in Kilternan, and chatted to some of Ireland’s most promising young skiers who have represented their country at international level. She also took the slopes herself and it turns out, she’s a natural!
