Welcome to the Ski Club of Ireland International Slalom and Irish Open Championships weekend organised by the Ski Club of Ireland and run-in accordance with British Competition rules. We hope all racers and spectators have an enjoyable weekend and would like to thank all the volunteers for their help and support.
Entry
The Ski Club of Ireland International Slalom and Irish Open Championships are open to all competitors (including U10/U12’s) under FIS Rules. The relevant published oBARTS list will be used and there is no seedpoint cut off for these Championships.
The race entry form should be emailed to the Race Convener by 7pm Friday 23rd September 2022. Please note that Parent’s or Guardian’s signature is required on the form for competitors under 18 years of age. Entry fee is Euro €60 (€30 per day). It includes all lift costs, Friday night practice, Saturday and Sunday races, catering serving complimentary snacks, lunch, and refreshments throughout the weekend and also the event T-shirt. Payment can also be made to the Ski Club of Ireland. See page 4 for further details. Book online choose 1st October.

Free practice on the slope will be available on Friday 30th September night from 19.30 – 21.30. There will be a Team Captains meeting regarding the Team Parallel Slalom at 09.00 on Saturday 1st October morning.

Categories for Prizes: first, second and third prizes for male and female competitors will be awarded in the following categories (FIS categories for 2019/2020):

International Team Parallel Slalom event - there will be prizes for the team members in the first, second and third placed National Teams. Teams are to consist of 4 male and 2 female racers.
Acceptance: the Acceptance list will be published on the SCI Racing website and on www.gbski.com. The relevant published oBARTS list will be used and account will be taken of the entry numbers in the various age groups. The organising committee decision will be final in respect of acceptance matters.
Location: the event is being organised by the Ski Club of Ireland at its slope beside in Kilternan, Co. Dublin. Refer location map at http://www.skiclub.ie/28/location.htm. Car Ferry/Travel arrangements Car ferry terminals and approximate distances from Kilternan are Dublin Port Approx. 12 miles Belfast 95 miles (2 1/2 hours) Rosslare 90 miles (2 hours)
Ferries: Stena Line (http://www.stenaline.ie) and Irish Ferries(https://www.irishferries.com/ie) operates Ferries on the Holyhead / Dublin Port route and there are also fast ferries on the Fishguard / Rosslare and Stranraer / Belfast routes. Stena are one of our sponsors and a reduced rate is available to competitors travelling over on the race weekend. This must be done before booking. Accommodation: the Hotel beside the ski slope is closed. A special rate has been arranged with the Clayton Hotel Leopardstown for the competition dates. Taxi fares from Dublin Airport to the ski slope at Kilternan are approx. €60.
